HUNGARIAN GOULASH #2

2 lbs. beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup sliced onions
1/8 tsp. instant minced garlic
¼ cup shortening
1-½ cups water
¾-cup catsup
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. paprika
½ tsp. dry mustard
Dash cayenne pepper
¼-cup cold water
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
Noodles

Cook and stir beef, onion and garlic in shortening in 12-inch skillet until beef is brown and onion is tender. Drain fat. Stir in 1 ½-cups water, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, paprika, mustard and cayenne pepper. Cover and simmer 2 to 2-1/2 hours.

Shake ¼-cup cold water and flour in a tightly covered container; gradually stir in beef mixture.

Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over hot noodles.

Yield: 6-8 servings.
