SOUPER MEATLOAF
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 lbs. ground beef
½ can dry breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
¼-cup water
Mix thoroughly ½ cup mushroom soup. Packet onion mix, beef, breadcrumbs, and egg. In 2-quart oblong baking dish, firmly shape into 8-x-4-inch loaf. Bake at 350^ for 1-1/4 hours. Spoon off fat and reserve ½ Tbsp. drippings. In a 1-quart saucepan, combine remaining mushroom soup, water and reserve drippings. Over LOW heat, heat through, stirring occasionally. Pour over meatloaf slices on plate or over entire meatloaf.
I found this to be an excellent loaf, No chopping, very few ingredients (Hey! I’m lazy and this works for me). You can add anything you want in this meatloaf. I put some cheese strips over the top when I took it out of the oven.
